Last Day in Manila, August 30, 2008

DFD: "Last Gig" with my family

Aug 23, 2008 - My last gig with Sonny & G-Boy (Downward Facing Dog) for the foreseeable future..since I've since relocated ha ha...anyway, my family including my mom came to watch but they came early before the rest of the band showed up! So Pabs and I put up an impromptu set...which was cool cuz I got to warm up newer songs as well as sing obscure songs that I wanted to get out of my system :)

This was the first time my mom had ever seen me sing so her being there was cool...especially since she was just a month shy from her heart surgery! Thanks mom :)

Later on Roque and Emilio showed up and I played an ALL BEATLES set for them...unfortunately I couldn't do Em's requests of Sgt. Pepper & Penny Lane! But he was happy with Come Together, Sexy Sadie & Hello Goodbye!

My TF Collection

It started innocently enough...way back in 2004, Ria and I were shopping in Goldcrest.when I came upon this toy store at the basement selling some Transformers...I came upon a couple of my favorite characters from when I was younger and Ria suggested I get them....little did she know what an obsessive collector I am..once I start on something....well...I haven't stopped since :)

I used to rationalize my buying these guys was for reference material for my 3D modeling..yeah right! anyway since I can't bring my entire collection with me to Singapore, I decided to just immortalize them on Multiply..."Till all are One..."

One more adventure RIGHT before the SYA weekend with my park hopper buddies Shar & Pabs! I think we should have gone in the afternoon though...most of the animals were sleeping! Kulang lang Night Safari....anyway some pics are again from Shar..thanks! :)

SYA Singapore Weekend

The main reason for my trip to Singapore..helping in starting an SYA community in SIngapore at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament. Attended a pre-weekend retreat the saturday before the weekend as well :)

2 Weeks in Singapore

Went to Singapore on the 19th of July for lunch with SYA team on 20th. I decided to stay on up till the weekend to look for a job. Ended up getting a job BEFORE i left for Singapore so I ended up doing the whole tourist thing for 2 weeks instead...fun :)...not much of a "picture person" as you can tell :) ha ha ha
